Do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep;

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am the thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there I did not die.

I could be over at Tesco's - Kevin Pyne

I could be over at Tesco's

Doing the weekly shop

I could be over the Channel

Doing a Channel hop

It's no use you feeling sad

it's the route we have to choose

And it's ever so hard to stay really sad

when you're stocking up with booze

That's how I would like you to think of me

"Gone on a weekend cruise"

Yes gone where there is no housework

Nor any bills to pay

I'm sorry I left in a hurry

I had to taker it on the day

I saw it in the window

Scribbled up in big black pen

It's time for you to leave it said

And join us now not when

So I'm just off to play tennis

With the gang as before

That's how I need you to think of me

Just outside the door

Just outside the door

Where you will always be in my thoughts

I would love to stay

But I have to go

Or they'll fill up the courts.

I am there

I am there, where the river flows
And salmon leap to a silver moon
Where the insects hum and the tall grass grows
And sunlight warms the afternoon
I am there in the busy street
I take your hand in the city square
In the market place where the people meet
In your quiet room - I am there
I am the love you cannot see
And all I ask is - look for me

Remember - Christina Rossetti

Remember me when I am gone away,

Gone far away into the silent land;

When you can no more hold me by the hand,

Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.

Remember me when no more day by day

You tell me of our future that you planned:

Only remember me; you understand

It will be late ti counsel then or pray.

Yet if you should forget me for a while

And afterwards remember, do not grieve:

For if the darkness and corruption leave

A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,

Better by far you should forget and smile

Than you should remember and be sad.

Leisure - William Henry Davies

What is this life if, full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs

And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,

Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see
